The Choctaw Legacy
From its early origins with bison and deer meat, leading up to the inclusion of cattle brought to the continent by Europeans in the 15th century, generations of Choctaw families raised animals on their ranches for making their traditional dried meats. By the eve of the Trail of Tears, tribal members owned over 43,000 head of cattle. Finding themselves in Oklahoma, Choctaws took advantage of the Texas Cattle Drives to resupply their livestock and resume their traditional meat-drying methods.

It used to be rather difficult to buy beef in bulk, and when you could, you usually couldn't be sure of the quality of beef you were buying. With the Choctaw Beef program, you can now purchase Whole, Half and even Quarter sides of beef, fresh or frozen, directly from us.
